Maddy's Story
There is a little girl- she's nine years old- that I was talking to the other day, while writing. She was reading my story as I wrote it, and asked if she could try writing something. I told her yes, and let her take the laptop, and start writing. This is her final product, I hope you enjoy!

First Week of School
So... Audrey and I recently finished our first week of school. We hope you guys our enjoying the rest of our break, 'cause ours has been over for awhile! I don't really know what Audrey though of it (Tbhis is Emma writing it), so I'll just tell you my opinion. Latin was interesting, it was actually kind of easy. I've tried one other language before, and Latin s much easier. Math... it's math, I still don't like, and I absolutely despise it!!! Rhetoric, which was logic, and teaches you good reasoning. MAN!!! That was SO easy!! I just had to read, and I love to read! And then literature... that's fun, it's also really easy. Biology was good, we had to do a report on Protozoans, Algae, and Protistas. And then there was the last subject, geography. That one was really easy because it was just drawing... and I don't like drawing, but it was easy. So Challenge A is not as hard as I thought it would be. Thank you for listening. :)

Now here are two songs that weren't silly songs, but I still really liked them.

Starting School
Most of you don't start school until September 2nd, but for Audrey and Emma (The oldest Girlz) we started at this very moment! I mean literally! I (Emma) made this post then scheduled it to post itself as soon at 8:15 Tuesdays morning, August 19. Audrey and I do CC (Classical Conversation), it is a program for home schoolers, so that you can learn classically. We did this program last year, and did the class, Essentials. Audrey really enjoyed it... Me? Let's just say I had mix opinions. I didn't enjoy it tremendously, but I didn't hate it how I expected to, but there were a few things I really did not like. But it was alright.
This year we're doing a class for older kids, Challenge A. This year we're going to be learning Latin, Debate (geography), Rhetoric, Literature, and Math... Ew, I don't like math. And then Riah is going to be starting Essentials in a couple weeks. But Audrey and I have to start today. So I hope you enjoy the rest of your summer, because Audrey and I are done with ours. Now from the class room we're sitting in right now, at this very moment, Goody-Bye.

Bigger or Better
Do you have anything bigger or better than this?
That was the question that we asked our neighbors today. We start out with two paper clips, then we traded them back and forth with our neighbors, and ended up with a Floral Wreath and Elmers Glue. It was pretty fun, we're hoping maybe we could do this enough that we can get plane tickets to Uganda!... That's probably not going to happen soon. Now, here's the challenge... Can you get anything bigger or better then what we got? HAVE FUN!!!!!

Author Q. A.'s
I recently decided to email some questions to one of my favorite authors. I hope you enjoy! :)
This is Richard Paul Evans, he writes one of my favorite series, Michael Vey. Unfortunately when I got the answers back, it was as I had suspected, they get a lot of questions and don't have time to answer them all individually. But I did get some information, and answers to the questions, so here they are...
Where did you find the inspiration for some of your characters in Michael Vey?
A few of the characters he named, was named after his children; Abigail, Mckenna, and Michael
How long does it usually take for you to write a book?
It can take about 6 months, and works about 40 hours a week
How did he begin to writing?
When he wrote his first book as a Christmas gift for his two daughters. That book was passed around, and he got very good feedback from it, and he decided to self publish it
Where does he get his inspiration from?
He gets most of his inspiration while doing everyday things

Modern Day Slavery
Slavery still happens in this time. It happens in India, and Africa, and Haiti, it even happens here in America. And we can do something to help. Look at these websites to find out what you can do, https://www.freetheslaves.net/sslpage.aspx?pid=335

And who could have guessed this, http://www.examiner.com/article/is-there-child-slavery-your-chocolate
I am never eating chocolate again!!
Types of slavery that still exist
Bonded Labor- This is the one affects millions around the world. It is most common is South East Asia, Bonded labor is when someone takes- or is tricked into taking- a loan that they will not be able to pay off. So to pay off the loan, they have to work and most of the time they have to work so much it is passed down to their children.
Child Slavery- This affects millions of children around the world- including the USA- and includes the wordt form of child labor, and child trafficking.
Early and Forced Marriages- This mainly affects women and girls, where they are forced into marriages and servitude for the rest of their lives.
Forced Labor- This is when people are illegally recruited by individuals to do forced labor under the threat of harm.
Decent-Based Slavery- This is when people are born into a slave class
Trafficking- When people are brought across borders to be forced into slavery

June Melody
Here is the first part of a story I just got done writing. I do not have any else of the story done, except for this. But when I am all done with the story, I'll put it on here. For now I just want to know what you think of the beginning.
Dear Diary,
I feel so bad for lying to the Secraments. They are so kind, and have accepted me like family- which they think I am. Last night I was dreaming about Tommy drowning, and woke up screaming and crying. The dream seemed so real, it scared me to death. I accidentally woke up Patricia (she was sleeping in the same room as me), she came over and comforted me as if I were her own sister.
But I have to make sure I don’t get to close to them. If I do, with my luck, they’ll probably end up blown up and dead. I’ve decided that I’m going to leave in a couple weeks, I just can’t stay much longer without getting to attached to them. I’m just going to slip out in the middle of the night, hopefully Nelly won’t see me. She is such a night owl. Today we were watching the news, and a news story was interrupted with “breaking news.”
They said that June Stark had been seen around the area of Brenton, New Jersey. I tensed up instantly and almost shouted at the tv to stop hunting me around like a dog. Nelly clicked her tongue as she scrapbooked at the table and said, “They need to find that girl soon, she’s been running around the country like a wild maniac, and I’m not sure how long we will be safe.”
Patricia responded with another hurtful remark, “I hope that they find her also, who knows what she’ll do next. Criminals minds are so twisted and retarded.”
I stayed silent, and tried my hardest to not say something stupid. Ryan glanced up from his newspaper at that point, and answered to Patricia, “No less, that girl needs to hear the truth of the gospel. She needs God just as much as anyone else. You have no idea what makes her do what she does.” He had paused, then continued, “But they do need to do their duty, and find that girl. I don’t want her getting anywhere near my family.”
I wonder what they’d do if they knew she had been in that very room as they said that.

Trevor Keith Murray
(It took me awhile to write this but here it is)
Audrey, the second oldest of the Girlz has a new little brother!!! Trevor Keith Murray!!!!
He was born July 25th 2014. He was 8 pounds 9 ounces, 22 inches.
What's funny is Audrey and her dad had to deliver the baby, because the midwife wasn't there yet. Well, her dad delivered the baby, Audrey held the phone for her dad while he helped deliver Trevor.
The Murrays now have eight kids, six girls, and two boys. They are all very excited about having a new little brother. :)
For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mothers womb.
